Mold on Weed 

Mold is a different fungus that has different hyphae that’s on there. it comes with different spots that are discolored or a fuzz that’s white, and that’s a sign of mold. It can also be a black or a green color. Bud rot also does happen with a lot of dense parts of the buds, and the root rot also does grow on cannabis plant roots. You may also see mildew, which is basically a mold that looks white or black on this, and if they look fuzzy, or have some sort of brown, white, gray, or black growth, avoid using them. 

The cause of this 

This is usually due to humidity, light, oxygen, or the wrong growing temps. It also can happen due to plant injuries, and you also may not have as much dehumidifying in your growing medium. If you water too much or don’t cure and store it, it can create mold. 

Mold is good in nature it helps with breaking down to ensure that the nutrients go to the soil. But this is not for humans to have, and it can spread to other plants as well. 

Identifying mold 

This is usually found by little fuzzy hairs that are either black, brown, or gray, and it also may signify that there are certain kinds of molds if that’s dark. Moldy cannabis is not good, as it can get inhaled, and create infections in the lungs, or allergies that may happen. for those that are immunocompromised, this is especially something that you want to be mindful of, as it can create problems for you, especially vomiting and nausea. 

Preventing weed Mold 

There are a few things that you can do if you want to prevent weed mold. First, you want to make sure that you do store it appropriately, and make sure that there’s no light or other such things getting in the way. Make sure that you have good filtration and airflow for this. 

Try to avoid over-watering too much, especially when it’s in the last stages of the flowering process. Botrytis is a type of mold that is spread via the rainwater and the wind. It will attack plants that are injured, and it can be good to stress train the plants, even if it doesn’t immediately increase the yield. It odes strengthens it within time. 

You can also prevent bud rot by creating a dry, warm, and nice environment for the plant to grow. Make sure that all of the humidity levels are less than 50% in most cases. Try to make sure that if you do notice mold, kill it right away, bee glue, and propolis is a great way to kill this. 

Bodo mix is another option, as it’s a natural fungicide that’s made of sulfate, copper, and it comes with a means that’s used to spray on the plants. It’s considered a fungicide that’s organic, so it works well. 

If you don’t want to buy it, you can always use other natural means to fight mold. The first one is an ounce of horsetail tea powder, which you can mix into a spray solution of water, and then, spray it on the plants to naturally kill this.
